Creating Your First Project

Learn how to create and share projects on UXFeed to get feedback.

Overview

Projects are the core of UXFeed. They represent your application, website, or design that you want feedback on. Creating a well-structured project helps testers provide better, more actionable feedback.

Step 1: Access the Create Project Page

To create a new project:

  1. Log in to your UXFeed account
  2. Navigate to your dashboard
  3. Click the "Create Project" button
  4. Or visit /projects/new

Step 2: Fill in Project Details

Required Information

  • Title: A clear, descriptive name for your project
  • Description: Explain what your project is, what you're trying to achieve, and what kind of feedback you're looking for
  • Category: Choose from Web, Mobile, Desktop, or Other

Optional Information

  • Screenshots: Upload images of your design or interface
  • Project URL: Link to a live version or prototype
  • Testing Requirements: Specify how many testers you need and what type of feedback you want (UI, UX, Usability)

Step 3: Set Testing Requirements

Configure how you want to receive feedback:

  • Minimum Testers: The minimum number of testers you need
  • Maximum Testers: Optional limit on the number of testers
  • Feedback Types: Select UI feedback, UX feedback, Usability testing, or all of the above
  • Deadline: Optional deadline for when you need feedback by

Step 4: Privacy Settings

Choose who can see your project:

  • Public: Anyone can view and request to test your project
  • Private: Only approved testers can see your project

Step 5: Submit and Manage

Once you've created your project:

  1. Review your project details
  2. Click "Submit" to publish your project
  3. Wait for testers to request access
  4. Approve or reject tester requests
  5. Receive and review feedback

Tips for Better Projects

  • Provide clear context about what you're building
  • Include multiple screenshots showing different views
  • Specify what areas you want feedback on
  • Be open to constructive criticism
  • Respond to feedback to show you value testers' input
