Submitting Feedback

Overview

Providing quality feedback is essential to the UXFeed community. Good feedback helps developers improve their products and creates a positive experience for everyone involved.

Step 1: Find a Project

To submit feedback:

  1. Browse available projects on the /projects page
  2. Click on a project that interests you
  3. Read the project description and requirements
  4. Click "Request to Test" if you want to provide feedback
  5. Wait for the developer to approve your request

Step 2: Test the Project

Once approved, thoroughly test the project:

  • Access the project using the provided link or screenshots
  • Explore all features and interactions
  • Take notes on what works well and what doesn't
  • Test on different devices if possible
  • Consider the user experience from different perspectives

Step 3: Submit Your Feedback

Navigate to the feedback form and provide:

Overall Rating

Rate the project on a scale of 1-5 stars based on your overall impression.

UI Feedback

  • Design: Rate the visual design (1-5 stars)
  • Colors: Comment on color choices, contrast, and accessibility
  • Typography: Evaluate font choices, readability, and hierarchy
  • Layout: Assess spacing, alignment, and visual organization

UX Feedback

  • Navigation: Rate how easy it is to navigate (1-5 stars)
  • Flow: Describe the user journey and identify any friction points
  • Usability: Comment on how intuitive and easy to use the interface is
  • Suggestions: Provide specific recommendations for improvement

Bug Reports

If you find bugs, report them with:

  • Clear description of the issue
  • Severity level (Low, Medium, High, Critical)
  • Screenshots if applicable
  • Steps to reproduce the bug

General Comments

Provide any additional thoughts, suggestions, or observations.

Best Practices for Feedback

  • Be Specific: Instead of "looks good," explain what specifically works well
  • Be Constructive: Offer solutions, not just problems
  • Be Respectful: Remember that developers put time and effort into their work
  • Be Actionable: Provide feedback that can actually be implemented
  • Consider Context: Understand the project's goals before providing feedback

Saving and Submitting

You can:

  • Save as Draft: Save your progress and come back later
  • Submit for Review: Submit your feedback when you're ready
  • Edit Later: Update your feedback if you discover more insights
